Obituary of Harold Henry Wilder

Funeral Services for Harold Henry Wilder of Winfield, MO will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Pastor Scott Grossenbacher, pastor of Waypoint Church in St. Charles, MO, will officiate. Burial with full Military Honors will be held in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Beatty, Steve Wilder, C.J. Wedekind, Zach Schwaab, Keith Moore and Seth Wilder. Harold, 97, passed away early Monday morning, March 18, 2024 at his home near Winfield. Born March 23, 1926 in Corning, AR, he was the son of Henry and Gracie Aldona “Dona” Arnold Wilder. Harold served his country in the United States Navy during World War II from March 14, 1945 until his honorable discharge on July 9, 1946. He was united in marriage on November 9, 1946 in St. Johns, MO to Erma Jean Beelek. This union was blessed with five children: Linda Jean, Donna Sue, Vicky Lynn, H. Michael and Karen Marie. In 1950, Harold began working as a bricklayer and ran an excavating business. Harold retired from Wilder Brick in 2006 at the age of 80 years. He was a member of Bricklayers Union #1 in St. Louis, MO. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dona Wilder; two sisters; eight brothers; one daughter, Donna Mundy and her husband, Ronald; one great-granddaughter, Sierra Wilder; and his beloved wife of 50 years, Erma Wilder, who died on March 13, 1997. Survivors include four children: Linda Beatty and her husband, Bob, of St. Charles, MO, Vicky Seagraves and her husband, Bo, of St. Charles, Mike Wilder and his wife, Barbara, of Winfield and Karen Wilder of Winfield; eleven grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren. Harold also leaves one sister, Ruth Lucketts of Louisiana, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
