Obituary of Thomas Lloyd Howard

Graveside Services for Thomas Lloyd Howard of Brownsboro, TX will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Valhalla Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Rev. Tim Suddarth will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Dan Suddarth, Buster Desselles, Texas Desselles, Tim Suddarth, Richard Harper and Chris Schwartz. Mr. Howard, 93, passed away late Monday morning, August 10, 2015 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, TX. Born November 16, 1921 in Bucyrus, OH, he was the son of Alman LeRoy and Margaret Ann Corwin Howard. He served his country in the National Guard Reserves. Tom attended Springfield Draughon Business College, Rhema Bible College and Washington University. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Business and an Associate’s Degree in Ministry. Tom was united in marriage on August 12, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to Louise Dorothy Klein. This union was blessed with four children: Cheryl Louise, Cindy Ann, Diann Kay and Gregory Thomas. Tom was employed as the Director of the Leukemia Guild, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Chandler, TX, serving as a former choir member, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Lay Speaker, Men’s Group President, and an usher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alman and Margaret Howard; one daughter, Cheryl Howard; one son, Gregory Howard; two brothers: John Franklin Howard and Charles Richard Howard; and his beloved wife, Louise Dorothy Howard, who died in October of 2005. Survivors include two daughters: Cindy Suddarth and her husband, Dan, of Winfield, MO and Diann Desselles and her husband, Buster, of Brownsboro; six grandchildren: Texas Desselles, Trinity Desselles, Timothy Suddarth and his wife, Rachael, Connie Moore and her husband, Tim, Kristen Harper and her husband, Richard and Michelle Suddarth; and seven great-grandchildren: Eli Suddarth, Alex Moore, Ian Suddarth, Shelby Harper, Caitlin Schwartz, Hannah Schwartz and Bigby Suddarth. Tom also leaves two sisters-in-law: Martha Clare Thompson-Howard and Jeanne Marguerite Howard; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
