Obituary of Harold August Siemsen

A Memorial Service for Harold August Siemsen of Winfield, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Winfield. Rev. Mike Ryan, church pastor, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in St. Louis, MO at a later date. Mr. Siemsen, 101, passed away Saturday morning, July 11, 2015 at home near Winfield. Born January 28, 1914 in St. Louis, he was the son of Henry and Adele Bussmeyer Siemsen. He was a 1932 graduate of Roosevelt High School in St. Louis; and attended Washington University in St. Louis for two years. Harold was united in marriage on July 10, 1937 in St. Louis to Kathryn Wynn. This union was blessed with two sons: Richard and Carl. He was employed for many years as a quality control foreman of electrical components at Wagner Electric Co, retiring in 1974. Harold was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Adele Siemsen; one sister, Violet Smith; one great-grandchild, Bradley McClure; and his beloved wife of 58 years, Kathryn Siemsen, who died September 26, 1995. Survivors include two sons: Richard H. Siemsen and his wife, Bette, of Foley, MO, and Carl H. Siemsen of Okeechobee, FL; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
