Obituary of Carolyn Sue Shaw

Funeral Services for Carolyn Sue Shaw of Fulton, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the Elsberry United Methodist Church. Rev. Paul Garven, church pastor and Rev. Randy Germann of Jefferson City, MO will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Eivins, Dale Miller, Dale Spires, Tyler Galloway, Dane Galloway and Tad Galloway. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Tillotson, Ronnie Bryant, Frank Teasley, Brent Teasley, Sam Stewart, Don Tallmage, Jr., Bob Ince and Donald “Bosco” Tallmage. Carolyn’s services are under the direction of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes. Mrs. Shaw, 65, passed away Monday afternoon, May 11, 2015 at her home. Born September 3, 1949 in East St. Louis, IL, she was the daughter of Raymond and Dora Edna Teasley Ash. After high school, Carolyn attended Southwest Missouri State University and St. Charles School of Cosmetology. Carolyn was united in marriage on April 4, 1970 in Elsberry to Terrell Kent Shaw. This union was blessed with two sons: Ryan and Blake. Carolyn worked as a self-employed hairdresser. She was a member of the Elsberry United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Dora Edna Ash. Survivors include her beloved husband of 45 years, Terry Shaw of Fulton; two sons: Ryan Shaw and his wife, Lori, of Fulton and Blake Shaw and his wife, Jenni, of Kansas City, MO; and six grandchildren: McKenzie and Jordan Shaw of Fulton and Jacob, Abby, Andrew and Zachary Shaw of Kansas City. Carolyn also leaves other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the Elsberry United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
